Dumb Friends League receives million-dollar contribution

The Dumb Friends League received a $1 million donation from the Robert B. Sturm Foundation. The funds will be used to upgrade the League’s Quebec Street Shelter and treat animals requiring specialized care, which the shelter says make up an increasing percentage of its intake. The gift will be matched by The Malone Family Foundation, which has promised to match all gifts to DFL’s Building a Better Way Home capital campaign up to $20 million. The Sturm Foundation has donated to Rocky Mountain PBS, Cancer League of Colorado and the Anti-Defamation League.
